Technology Development

In order to fulfill our premise of „doing things first time right", a strong simulation support is mandatory for technology process development. Therefore, epc has built strong expertise in the process and device simulation of our ESPROS Photonic CMOS™ process. We are able to optimize process details like implant settings, thermal budget or layout rules in order to yield best possible optoelectronic performance parameters. The methodology was also employed during the setup of our NVM. For complex problems we are able to perform full 3D semiconductor simulations to assess the impact of complex structures in the optoelectronic core.

With this toolset, even very complex customer specific application requests can be handled in a fast and cost efficient way, reducing effort in designing test structures and repeated wafer starts.
